Deshamanya Geoffrey Manning Bawa, FRIBA (23 July 1919 – 27 May 2003) was a Sri Lankan architect.
He is the most renowned architect in Sri Lanka and was among the most influential Asian architects of his generation. He is the principal force behind what is today known globally as ‘tropical modernism’
You will be met by a Sunshine travels representative and be transferred to “The Mud House in Anamaduwa” a rural village in the wilderness, experience the rural village architecture, staying in house built in clay with thatched roofs done with woven coconut leaves (all basic facilities available).

Later join in a demonstration on how mud houses are built using ancient village techniques, there after you could visit a local village and swim in the local tank/large pond.
Cooking lessons are possible either in the morning or afternoon, in order to prepare the meals for lunch or dinner you could use harvested fresh vegetables and fruits from the farm and directly to the kitchen.
You can discover how to prepare some of the delicious local recipes from scratch.
The daily lessons are usually comprised of teaching whatever is on the menu for that given day, but the hotel would adhere if there are any dishes in particular you would like to learn while adding them to the menu.

On completion proceeds to Kandalama, explore the hotel and the surroundings, a famous creation of Geoffrey Bawa
Dinner and Overnight stay.
After Breakfast leave to visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is also known as the lions rock, 5th Century Rock Fortress in Sigiriya (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) considered by some as the 8th wonder of the world.
Experience a Cultural sight around from the top of the Rock,
On completion visit Polonnaruwa, which is the second historical capital of Sri Lanka with remains of many ancient buildings,
Later in the evening return back to the hotel in Kandalama for Dinner and overnight stay.
After Breakfast leave to Kandy (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Kandy is a major city in Sri Lanka, located in the central province. It is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka.

After Breakfast leave to Nuwara Eliya,
Nuwara Eliya is a city, in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The city name meaning is "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka.
The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka,
En route to NuwaraEliya via a Tea Plantation and processing centre, proceed the journey to NuwaraEliya.
Check In to the hotel in Nuwaraeliya | later in the afternoon commence a city tour in Nuwaraeliya.

After Breakfast leave to Proceed to Galle.
En-route visiting the Ruhuna University Campus and office building in Matara, designed by Mr. Bawa (subject to permission being granted from authorities).
Afternoon visit the famous Dutch Fort in Galle, constructed in 1792 (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
